Ontstaansgeschiedenis:
In 2004 kocht ik mijn eerste digitale camera en begon vrijwel direct hiermee ook foto's te maken van de races en zijspancrossen waar ik aanwezig was. De foto's die ik destijds maakte zijn te vergelijken met de kwaliteit van GSM-foto's anno 2012. Niet veel later besloot ik om een website te beginnen om deze foto's ook aan anderen te kunnen laten zien. De naam van de website werd 'Orangehat' omdat ik altijd een oranje hoed op heb als ik de zijspancross en andere races bezoek.
Sinds die tijd is er een hoop verandert. Ik heb een betere camera gekocht en ben mij steeds meer gaan verdiepen in de fotografie. Hierdoor is het foto-materiaal vandaag de dag van hoog niveau. Tevens ben ik samen met mijn vriendin Annemieke begonnen met het maken van videoclips vanaf 2008 wat een extra media-dimensie toevoegde aan Orangehat.nl. Thans trekt deze site honderden bezoekers per dag en desondanks dat ik er bij lange na niet van kan leven wordt het maken van het beeldmateriaal op een professionele manier aangepakt!

Het lijkt misschien naar de buitenwereld toe dat er geld wordt verdient
met Orangehat.nl maar niets is minder waar. Deze 'hobby' kost juist geld.

Nowadays Orangehat.nl attracts hundreds of visitors each day and despite the fact that I can't make a living out of this we always make pictures in the professional mannor!
